Chris Nilan Visits
On Tuesday October 2nd, we had a very special guest at our school. Chris Nilan, a former NHL Montreal Canadians player, has visited many schools and addressed our students this year on bullying, violence and the importance of being positive role models at school. FHE promotes learning within a safe environment and we were very proud to have Chris join us this month in our efforts to take pro-active steps in this direction.
HARVEST BREAKFAST AT FHE 2012-2013
Our Harvest Breakfast, held on October 4th, was once again a tremendous success! Organized by our Cycle II teacher, Christianne Maillet , and supported by our Pastoral Animator ,our PPO members and many parent volunteers, all our students celebrated the onset of autumn with an abundance of food and good cheer. The students feasted on goods purchased and prepared by our parents-Thank you to all!
Terry Fox Activity
Our Terry Fox Activity was a success, in not only surpassing our goal of $750 this year, but in the participation and turn-out on September 27th by our school community. M. Aubé and Mr. Leroux did a fantastic job its organization. The students had the opportunity to take part in an hour relay race against their fellow House teams, and our staff and parents helped contribute to the success of each team by the number of runs they made too! Below is the final tally of the amounts raised by each House along with a final amount that we will be forwarding to the Terry Fox Organization shortly. Many thanks to everyone who made a contribution to this worthwhile cause.
Beaver : 855.00 $ + Student runs 105 + adult runs 37 = 997points
Eagle : 715 $ + Student runs 92 + adult runs 37 = 844 points
Crab : 493 $ + Student runs 92 + adult runs 37 = 622 points

Relais 60 Minutes at École des Moissons
Franklin Hill has extremely talented athletes! This was evident on September 29th, where our students took part in a 60 minute relay race at École des Moissons. FHE participants were David Di Staulo, Mathieu Lalancette, Antoine Pasqualetto, Megan Rose, Luca Benoit, William Mailhot, Lucas Graham and Sabrina Perez. Coach JF Aubé and Coach James Leroux along with many friends and families were positive forces in encouraging our kids to do their best. Congratulations on a fantastic effort at the race!
